This ranch-style home sits on plenty of rural Carmel Valley land for the clients horses to roam. Originally built in the 1960s, the house needed a lot of love to bring it up to the caliber of detailing and design of the property’s horse barns and guesthouse. Demolishing most of the house down to the studs left us with the framework of a foundation that we had to work within. We took what we had but made it modernized in this significant remodel. The kitchen was in the same location but enlarged, the great room remained but we included a covered outdoor area on the outside of it. We shuffled some bedrooms around, and added a garage and gym. With exposed ceilings inside and out and exceptional detailing, the result is a design that feels very much Carmel Valley.
